Hammar is the company behind the world famous lifesaving Hammar H20. We develop, manufacture and supply release units for liferafts and EPIRBs, remote release systems as well as hydrostatic inflators for lifejackets. As the market leader we continuously develop state-of-the-art products for safety at sea by unconventional and innovative thinking. In collaboration with our customers we design new products that increase safety at sea owing to their combination of ingenuity and top quality production.

Our products often exceed the standards of IMO-SOLAS, EU-Marine Directives and current ISO standards. And of course, we are certified in accordance with ISO 9001:2000. The entire world is our market and all of our products are exported through our extensive network of over 160 highly competent distributors. Better solutions from the same place for a long time

CM Hammar AB, as our juridical name is, was founded back in 1856 and we have been working with ‘Safety at Sea  for almost as long. Hammar has always been located in Göteborg on the west coast of Sweden, in an area with long tradition of shipping and shipbuilding. Here was the home of the East India Company and it has the biggest harbour in Scandinavia. In August this year Göteborg will host the European Championship in Track and Fields.
