LifeSaver LS101 and LS10
LifeSaver® is a self-inflating horseshoe buoy designed for use on all types of boats, both large and small. LifeSaver® is compact and light and is therefore easy to store and use. Its size, in combination with its low weight, makes it very easy to throw accurately. LifeSaver® inflates automatically when it hits the water. A casing protects the horseshoe buoy and the water sensitive inflator. LifeSaver® can be stored in two ways - in a holder (accessory) (not LS10) or in a specially made stowage box (accessory)...

After discussions with among others the Swedish Sea Rescue Society (SSRS) a list of requirements for a modern and practical rescue buoy was developed. This resulted in LifeSaver® LS101. We have after that also produced the smaller and simpler LifeSaver® LS10.
Requirements:
It should be clearly visible and easy to reach on the boat
It should be easy to release from its holder - also for a child
It must be easy to throw - far, and accurately - also against the wind, and also by a child
It should be reasonably small but heavy enough to be able to throw it against the wind, but not so heavy that it can cause serious harm
It must be clearly visible in the water
The buoy must not drift away from the position where it has been thrown
You must be able to fasten the buoy around your body
It must fit all sizes - including children
You must be able to swim with the buoy
It must be possible to lift the person out of the water into a boat using the recovery strap (not LS10)
It must be durable and be able to be reused
As far as possible, the buoy should be made using the materials, and tested in the same way, as inflatable life jackets
It must be functional and should have an appealing design
and - not least - be reasonably priced.
