Hammar H20 for liferafts - New Red Weak Link:

The new H20 is designed for yet easier installation on liferafts, so that even the last possible errors can be eliminated. It has a 3-step coupling device that eliminates the risk of incorrect installation. The famous Weak Link of Hammar is now integrated into a new black thimble. This gives smaller tolerances in the Weak Link system (breaking strength 2,2 +/- 0,4 kN), as well as a stronger lower thimble construction. Thus this new construction has the following advantages:

* easier to make a correct installation
* smaller tolerances in the weak link system
* stronger lower thimble construction

For the end user, the new design will be noticed in the first place by the clear and easy-to-understand installation. The thimble is, for instance, clearly marked with "DECK" to avoid any misunderstanding and possible upside-down installation. Each unit is supplied with multilingual installation manual and instructive self-adhesive label for the liferaft container. As its predecessor, the Hammar H20 does not need any service or maintenance for two years and has no corrosive parts inside.

The new and old H20 are 100% compatible, so that next time the Hammar hydrostatic release unit is due for replacement, the new H20 can be used instead.
