How to perform the annual service on Hammar lifejacket models:
• MA1 EC
• MA1 UL
• A1
The Hammar inflator cap requires no service for 5 years – but all lifejackets require an annual inspection to ensure functionality. Remember, the lifejacket is a friend that -might one day help to save your life. Annual service by an authorized service station is a requirement for SOLAS approved lifejackets for -professional use and a strong recommendation from authorities worldwide for recreational users.

Periodical checking
1. Check that the single point indicator is green
2. Check that the expiry date is within the limit
3. Always inspect the sealing ring for wear and tear that can affect the sealing function

Inflate your lifejacket
If your lifejacket has been used and/or the Hammar -inflator replaced, always inflate the jacket through the oral tube and check that it stays inflated at least overnight. Empty the lifejacket again by pushing in the non-return valve in the top of the oral tube and press out ALL RESIDUAL AIR from the bladder, so that the jacket may be folded properly. Let the lifejacket dry before packing. When not in use always store your lifejacket in dry and well ventilated space.

4. Check that the gas cylinder is firmly tightened by holding it through the lifejacket fabric.
5. Always inspect the sealing ring for wear and tear that can affect the sealing function
