Removal of Absorber on MA1 Lifejacket Inflator Cap

The so-called, Absorber has been deemed an unnecessary component and will be removed from models IA-0609 and IA-0612. As of the last of February 2023 will be removed from new units leaving.

The Absorber was initially introduced to the MA1 Cap to reduce the force of the Manual Pull Cord’s release arm acting on the edge of the Cap.

Thru testing and risk evaluation, this component has now been deemed unnecessary and will be removed.
